Donald Eugene Brack Jr., 61, of Indianapolis, was taken home by the Lord on June 26, 2014.

Don was born on June 10, 1953 in Evansville, IN to Donald E. Brack Sr. and Gloria Mary Dippel Brack. Don is survived by his beloved wife and children, Andra L. Hazlett Brack, whom he married August 23, 1980. He is also survived by children Robert Eugene (Christine) of Fishers, Leah A. (Rob) Bley of Atlanta, Miriam E. (Ryan) Webber of Lawrence, KS, and Jonathon W. (Paulynn) of Firestone, CO; and his grandchildren, Joseph Eugene Brack of Fishers and Evelynn Annette Brack of Firestone, CO, parents Don and Gloria Brack of Evansville, sisters Cynthia (George) Martin of Evansville, Patricia (Brent) Noblitt of Irvine, CA, Sandra (Robert) Bender of Poseyville, IN, and Christopher (Kim) Brack of Evansville, IN and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Don worked with many trusted friends and family SWC Telecom. He was well-respected in the telecom business for over 40 years by all who knew him, worked for him, and competed against him. Don always considered his fellow employees as family, teaching those who loved him the meaning of sacrifice for the better of others. He was a wonderful example of how deep faith in Jesus Christ is played out in a quiet but determined life.

He attended St. Simon Church and was a member of Rotary Club of Indianapolis Northeast, the Shared Vision Chapter of BNI, and volunteered at the Holy Family Shelter. Preferred memorials are to the Rotary Club of Indianapolis and SonRise Ministries in Anderson.

Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory, Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Road. Visitation will be on Monday, June 30, 2014 from 3- 5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. You may visit his online guestbook at www.indianafuneralcare.com

Don was one of the nicest people I have ever met. He had a ready smile and was easy to like and to talk with from the first meeting. While some members of Indianapolis Northeast Rotary Club dress more casually for our Wednesday lunches, Don was always well dressed in a suit and tie.Our running joke was that I also wore a suit and tie so he would not be the only one.
His interest in Rotary was strong and he would have been an outstanding club president. Few people were more willing to devote time to service opportunities than Don.
He was a fine man. I will miss him greatly.

I have worked with Don through the years regarding the telecom needs of our company. He is someone that leaves a lasting impression after every conversation. You always felt “happy” after speaking with him. His delivery and demeanor is something that I admired and will be missed. The TGHR family is thinking of you all during this sad time.
